Well we have hit the 13 month post DTC mark.
And trying not to focus on the fact that we waited only 14 months for DD1 - notice how I said only, during that wait I would have ripped someone's head off for daring to saying you are only going to wait 14 months. A 14 month wait, that would be luxury this time!
I realised the other day, when someone at work asked how much longer, that for these entire 13 months my stock answer has been 18 months to 2 years more - time marches on but I sound like a broken record.
Oh for the time when I can say less than 18 months - problem is will I recognise that time when it comes!

My red thread led me to my first daughter and red thread continues to link me to her country of birth. And the desire to give something back to her country of birth grows. So come on the journey with me as we look for ways to assist the children still in the orphanages.
And pass the time while we wait for our second daughter to arrive!

- My husband and I adopted our first daughter from China in 2003 and are ‘patiently’ waiting for her sister (LID June 2006). I have been involved in Chinese adoption activities and organisations since 2001. I have a strong interest in supporting children that remain in China. I have previously worked hard with other families to raise money for the new orphanage building at my daughter’s first home. We also sponsor 6 young girls and 2 young boys, from the area our daughter is from, to go to school – education is not free in China and girls from poor families, particularly in rural areas, may only get one or two years schooling without support. We'd love to sponsor more girls to get an education and a future.

Congrats on 13 months (I think). Fingers crossed it's closer to 18 more than 24 more. And yes wouldn't 14 be just glorious? Lisa
